GP Class Changes 2017

GP Class Changes 2017

As the new year approaches, we have two new class changes for the 2017 J Day Offroad GP program.

The first change will be the addition of the new Junior B class.

The Junior class has grown considerably in numbers and the speed gap has also widened. The class has a wide variety of competitors, ranging from first time racers, all the way to the top Junior riders who often set lap times that match the Pros…. This new class will help riders 12-17 compete against riders of similar skill level. Junior riders who finished within the top 10 in 2016 will not be eligible for the 2017 Junior B class.

The second change is a bit of a tear jerker for us. The Pro/A 125 class will no longer be a championship class in 2017.

With 3 different Pro classes, we feel this move will strengthen the Open Pro cash purse and the all around depth of the Pro Class. We do hope to bring the Pro/A 125 class back for select fun events for the fans, but not as a full championship class.

These two class changes will change up the starting schedule quite a bit and we will be posting the new starting rows, times, heats today.
